Family Food Bank

Family Food Bank is now in your church ... help families in distress by donating ... there is a box in your church ... Go to the Kent-wide website to see how you might help ... guidance is given on food, money, or time donations! Nonfood items like nappies and wipes are also much needed.
Steve Lillicrap and Richard Birch have vouchers and boxes available to those in need.
A summary of this important initiative as it has happened in Creekside from Charlotte.

Christmas Trees 2017

Christmas Trees for CharityLast year we raised £11,460 for over 50 parishes and 25 charities. This year there will be the traditional Norwegian spruce & slimmer Serbian spruce.
Trees are available for selection from Saturday 4th November to pick out before collection in December.

Teynham Parish Council has produced a calendar of local views taken by local residents, including 2 lovely views of Teynham Church. Friday 22nd December 2017 6.30pm: Lynsted Community Carols around the Christmas Tree. On the Village Green, St. Peter's Place - Live Music
Friday 22nd December 7.30pm: Cantiana Christmas at St Peter and St Paul's church, Newnham. A candlelit concert of songs, readings and carols to celebrate Christmas. Tickets: £7.50 (includes festive refreshments) available from 886392, Lissie Bayford, Doddington Service Station, or on the door. Proceeds to the young Composer Scheme.

Natural Evangelism

7:45pm tea and coffee for a 8pm start.
There will be a evening with Andrew Nawkings from the Philo trust, at Lynsted Church.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about Natural Evangelism which is described as ‘a programme to help members engage actively in evangelism; providing insights, activities and talking points to help individuals how to share their faith and become more confident and effective in connecting with people of the 21st century.’

  • Gods Detectives. Teynham Church at the 10.30 am service is the weekly Sunday School which meets every Sunday during term time but just occasionally during term they don’t meet as a separate group if there is a special service in the church

  • Quest - each 1st Wednesday at 7.30pm for 8pm in Lynsted Church. A regular informal gathering with opportunities for worshipping God through music, video, bible reading, speaking, discussion and prayer. Each meeting starts with tea and coffee. Please do join us on this journey.
  • Tea and Chat with Greenstreet Methodist Church takes place (2.30-4.30 pm) on the third Wednesday of every month. New Venue: 6 Harry’s Road, Teynham.

Our main aim over the last five years has just to be relaxed together and be ourselves.   • Quiet times Readings and Prayer DODDINGTON: 9.00 am: Short Services of Bible Reading and Prayers. A quiet time for reflection.
  • Friday Group (this was the Monday Group) - 1.30-3.00pm - every Friday of term-time. Meetings at the home of Lis Bayford (DODDINGTON) for study, prayer, tea drinking, cake consuming and chat. All welcome, just turn up or ring Lis Bayford (01795 886392).
  • Church Youth Drama Group. Meet every Friday, 6-7pm in term time Fridays in DODDINGTON Village Hall. Ages 11 upwards welcome. We perform short sketches in family worship. No need to be a Christian to join in, just enjoy drama and chocolate biscuits. Turn up or call Nicky Lord or Barbara Roberts (01795 886332). Some sessions will be led by Anna Seabrook, a fun and dynamic drama graduate.
